The Royal Inland Hospital (RIH) is a 273-bed tertiary referral centre serving a population of about 250,000. It provides emergency and trauma services, a new Phil and Jennie Gaglardi Tower with operating rooms and a rooftop helipad, as well as specialized inpatient and outpatient clinics.
Practice Details
Obstetric and gynecologic services are offered, with the nursery caring for babies 30 weeks and up. Approximately 1,200–1,400 births occur annually, primarily in a consultative role. The department supports local internal medicine and diabetes education programs and collaborates with UBC physician training levels.
