Observatory Ops Engineer/Scientist for Telescopes & SDSS-V

Las Campanas Observatory is seeking an Operations Engineer / Scientist to support operations at the du Pont 2.5m and Swope 1m telescopes. This full-time position involves an on-site shift system and airport support from La Serena, with a one-year term starting in June.

The ideal candidate will have an advanced degree in a relevant field and fluency in both English and Spanish. They will work collaboratively with a team to maintain telescope operations, providing the opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking astrophysical research while living in a stunning natural environment.
