Observatory Mechanical Engineer – 7 Nights On-Site in Chile

Las Campanas Observatory (LCO) in Chile is searching for a Mechanical Engineering Specialist to support telescope operations and maintenance. This full-time role involves troubleshooting and repairing telescopes, assisting in mirror maintenance, and operating advanced optical instruments.

The ideal candidate will hold an advanced degree in engineering and possess fluency in both English and Spanish. Additionally, the position requires experience with mechanical systems and tools. Work is based at the observatory in the Andes Mountains.
