Hourly rate: $65.55 – $79.91

Position Overview

As part of the multi‑disciplinary team, the Nurse Practitioner (NP) applies advanced nursing and medical theory to the provision of clinical care, autonomously ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing pharmacologic therapy and performing minor invasive procedures. The NP applies current nursing and medical theory to contribute to knowledge, development and advancement of the profession, integrating this knowledge into clinical practice and teaching others. The role supports problem‑solving among staff, patients/residents/clients and physicians, and applies consultation, collaboration and systems management to provide effective care. The incumbent demonstrates initiative and independent judgment in determining work priorities and is consistent with the mission, vision and values of Southern Health‑Santé Sud and partnering Fee‑for‑Service Clinics.
