The Product Engineer is primarily involved with the development or improvement of a specific product from customer specifications or sales team requests.
The position is also responsible for the integration of materials, methods, testing, and tools necessary to bring new products to the company portfolio.
General Responsibilities
- Presents updates to all of the engineering functions in regards to a product or a product family from the initial design through production and transfer
- Leads audits on production methods to ensure time and cost goals are reached
- Leads the introduction and production support engineering for a specific product or group of products after transfer from design to in-house or outsourced production
- Leads the design, process, test, reliability and manufacturing engineering of the product, in order to to solve product issues and production problems
