Network Operations Subject Matter Expert

The Work

As a subject matter expert, you will act as the level 3 engineer supporting a Government of Canada Crown corporation with global operations. You will advise the client in complex issues, provide architectural recommendations, and mentor junior staff. Tasks include implementing SD‑WAN, remote access, and hybrid connectivity (IPSec/SSL, MPLS, ExpressRoute/Direct Connect), automating configuration and compliance checks with Ansible/Python, managing golden configs and CI pipelines, leading P1/P2 network incidents, performing packet captures, driving root cause analysis with corrective actions, defining monitoring KPIs and telemetry, maintaining runbooks and topology diagrams, and collaborating with Cloud/Security teams on service onboarding, resilience patterns, and DR testing.
