Job Description As a Naval Architect, you will support the design, development, integration, and testing of the Canadian Coast Guard’s future fleet of six Program Icebreakers. The role will lead structural design efforts and support ship construction activities. More specifically you will:
Support the Engineering Department in producing and reviewing engineering drawings and specifications.
Assist in the design, development, and testing of engineering solutions.
Ensure compliance with the Corporate Management System (CMS), safety regulations, and best practices.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to meet project objectives on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
Review and support subcontractor design work.
Provide support to the Production Engineering Department.
Guide the fabrication and assembly of ship structures.
Maintain and monitor weight records.
