The Materials Engineer is responsible for assisting the QA/QC Engineer on the overall quality of materials and construction activities.
Job Description
- Work with Management to identify supply needs.
- Recommend solutions to existing processes to reduce waste and increase quantity.
- Record and assess all materials' quality, movement, and expenditure.
- Manage the distribution of supplies in the organization.
- Monitor inventory levels and access to the materials.
- Collaborate with Management to plan forecasting models.
- Performs write-offs on damaged or obsolete inventory to reflect the accurate value of inventory.
- Works with the Procurement Department to schedule delivery of materials, supplies, and equipment.
- Establishes procedures for conducting and valuing year-end physical inventory.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
