Milton Deaf Education Teacher Position

Ernest C. Drury School for the Deaf seeks an experienced Teacher of the Deaf for a permanent role in Milton. Join us to foster the educational growth of students with unique communication needs in a stimulating environment.
This opportunity is designed for OCT qualified teachers, ideally with a commitment to pursuing Deaf Specialist training. Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) is highly valued, while those willing to learn will find plenty of support. Experience with Deaf/hard of hearing students is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach academic subjects to Deaf and hard of hearing students
• Create lesson plans tailored to diverse learning needs
• Develop and assess individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Apply effective classroom management techniques
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary education teams
Requirements:
• Valid Certificate of Registration from Ontario College of Teachers
• Intermediate/Senior Division teaching qualifications
