In this role, you will report to the Maintenance Superintendent and be integral to the underground operations by maintaining and repairing metal structures. Your responsibilities include welding, equipment oversight, and adherence to strict safety measures. You must be physically and mentally fit to handle challenging tasks in a mining environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate equipment to support metal fabrication tasks
• Perform welding in vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions
• Inspect welded surfaces and adhere to quality standards
• Maintain a safe working environment according to regulations
• Troubleshoot and repair mining equipment as needed
Requirements:
• Certified Millwright designation is preferred
• At least 3 years of Welder/Fitter experience
