MHSW Depot Technician, Processing Facilities

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to the residents of York Region that visit the depot
• Have good communication skills to deal with York Regional employees and the public
• Read and understand all training documents on site
• Receive MHSW from residents
• Identify, sort, and pack MHSW into the appropriate containers
• Maintain clean grounds and facility
• Follow Supervisor’s instructions
• Wear all required PPE at all times
• Work in a safe manner at all times
• Maintain and report any equipment that needs repair
• Comply with all rules and regulations governing operation of the depot
• Ability to perform moderately labour-intensive and repetitive tasks
• Physically fit with the ability to lift +50lbs and stand on cement for extended periods of time
