About the role
As a Metal Fabricator you will be responsible for the fabrication, assembly, welding, erection, installation, rigging, temporary support, alignment, and associated building support works relating to structural steel components. The role includes workshop fabrication, on‑site steel erection, site measuring, preparation and interpretation of basic fabrication drawings, installation of temporary timber propping and bracing systems, and assistance with concrete boxing and formwork around erected structural steel elements where concrete encasement or casing is required.
Key responsibilities
- Read and interpret structural and engineering drawings, specifications, and welding procedures.
- Measure, cut, shape, drill, and prepare steel sections, plates, beams, columns, braces, and other structural components needed for job completion.
