Context
The Pasqual Maragall Foundation was established in 2008 with the mission of promoting and developing cutting‑edge biomedical research. The Foundation is fully committed to making a decisive contribution to the search for global solutions to Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias, and to raising public awareness to ensure that scientific support for these challenges receives the appropriate priority. The Foundation’s research is conducted at the Barcelonaβeta Brain Research Center (BBRC), a research centre established in partnership with Pompeu Fabra University. The vision of the Pasqual Maragall Foundation is to achieve “A Future Without Alzheimer’s,” within a framework of active and healthy ageing, associated with positive experiences and free from cognitive problems or decline.
