Mechanical Supervisor (South Africa)

Overview

Mechanical Supervisor will execute and supervise all preventive and corrective mechanical maintenance through the Artisans and related employees, monthly / annual outages and overhauling work activities on plant mechanical equipment, safely, efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

Maintenance Execution & Planning

• Assigns and executes corrective maintenance jobs as directed by the Maintenance Manager
• Coordinates and supervises maintenance activities through CMMS (SAP)
• Supports execution of corrective and planned maintenance in line with the annual maintenance schedule
• Reviews work orders, verifies site requirements (safety, materials, manpower, services), and ensures optimal resource utilization
• Coordinates with the Maintenance Planner to prioritize, schedule, and assign daily jobs
• Ensures early preparation and readiness of all daily maintenance activities
