Mechanical Design Engineer (Surrey)

Job Overview

Mid‑Level Mechanical / Industrial Design Engineer to help scale, adapt, and optimize our patented Clearsight technology by iterating form factors, optimizing components for DFM, and improving ruggedized enclosures.

Responsibilities

• Execute rapid evaluation of engineering concepts with an emphasis on mechanical design.
• Own hardware design from initial requirements through handoff to low‑rate production.
• Assist technical efforts to define requirements, propose solutions, and establish methodologies for evaluating and verifying mechanical systems.
• Perform hand calculations and FEA to develop, assess, and optimize designs.
• Build and test prototypes, analyze failures, execute hardware test plans, and transition successful projects toward production.
• Work on designs involving tight integration of thermal solutions, electro‑mechanical hardware, PCBAs, and cabling/harnessing.
