Mechanical and Electrical Design Engineer (Isla Guadalupe)

Responsibilities

• Performs design functions on new and existing products as assigned.
• Creates structural and movement engineering analysis.
• Creates and maintains CAD models of all engineering designs.
• Performs technical drawings.
• Carries out investigations related to research and development projects.
• Identifies opportunities for product improvements and defines them as projects.
• Develops understanding of manufacturing processes for use in product design assignments.
• Develops new and innovative designs and solutions for use on projects.
• Supports construction of mock-ups and prototypes.
• Works effectively with others and utilizes all available resources in solving project problems.
• Participates in project/status and departmental meetings.
• Recognizes technical, scheduling, and resource problems, and initiates corrective actions.
