The Shop & Infield Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a fleet of heavy equipment, trucks, and support machinery both in the shop and in the field. This role ensures equipment operates safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.
Shop Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment (oil changes, filters, greasing, etc.)
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
- Complete major and minor repairs on trucks and heavy equipment
- Maintain accurate service records and repair logs
- Keep shop clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
- Assist with parts inventory and ordering
Infield Duties
- Travel to job sites to troubleshoot and repair equipment breakdowns
- Perform emergency repairs to minimize downtime
