Mechanic for Heavy Equipment - Valard Construction

Take on a vital role as a Heavy Equipment Technician with Valard Construction in Thunder Bay, Ontario. This position supports the Waasigan Transmission Line project through hands-on maintenance and repair of construction equipment.

You will be responsible for diagnosing and addressing mechanical issues while working a field-based schedule of 20 days on/8 days off. Your expertise in heavy machinery will ensure that equipment remains operational, supporting productivity on one of Canada’s largest transmission line projects.

Key Responsibilities:
• Repair and maintain construction equipment including cranes and more
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
• Execute preventative maintenance for reliability
• Utilize JalTest for accurate diagnostics
• Manage parts inventory for repairs
