Materials Testing Technician - Intermediate

Overview

EXL Engineering Inc. is looking for a full-time Intermediate Materials Testing Technician to join our team in Golden, B.C. This position is for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic, variable, and technical environment on a small team of hardworking individuals. The work locations are outdoors at large scale civil highway construction projects as well as continuously changing job sites around the East Kootenays and Southern Interior of B.C.

Responsibilities

• Sampling and testing concrete and asphalt
• Sampling soil from crushers and gravel pits
• Conducting laboratory tests on soil and rock samples
• Recording detailed field notes at job sites
• Reporting test results on Microsoft Excel and Word
• Clearly communicating (verbally and in writing) technical information to Project Engineers, contractors, and clients
