The production planner provides the production department with a work schedule and ensures that all the resources needed to complete the schedule are available.
A planner works with the production department leaders, subassembly or component planners, purchasing and shipping to monitor the progress of work through the organization, and work close with customer service and master scheduler to provide shipping schedule and notify on any change on the ship dates.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Plan and monitor flow of materials for the prototype, alfa/beta production needs, as well as following the entire process along the NPDI cycle time.
Keeping in control the right inventory value.
- Planning purchase orders in alignment with production needs and laboratory requirements.
