Material Controller - Walkin Chennai

Responsibilities

• Control the flow of materials received from clients and suppliers and deliver them to the construction team according to company policies and procedures.
• Receive, inspect and store materials and deliver them to applicable personnel on the project according to the project schedule while coordinating with Quality Control and Procurement Departments.
• Ensure the availability of a minimum stock of regular materials and maintain a consistent supply to construction.
• Maintain inventory at minimum levels to reduce storage costs.
• Handle the receipt of repeated material stocks as per norms.
• Manage material accounting and preserve project assets.
• Maintain perpetual inventory, conduct annual stock taking and support the annual material handling system.
• Propose write‑offs for excess or obsolete items.
