Master technician: mechanical

Our client is seeking a Master Technician: Mechanical to join their team in Pretoria West.

Role Purpose

To ensure the availability of converting equipment for production, and to execute preventative maintenance activities to improve mechanical reliability of all machines. Maintenance activities include compliance with maintenance quality control, engineering codes and standards, statutory rules and regulations, and maintenance troubleshooting and diagnostics.

Key Responsibilities Ensure 24-hour operations are achieved by attending to priority equipment repairs and preventative maintenance Attend to major breakdown repairs timeously Ensure all maintenance work is executed safely and efficiently Improve maintenance activities by reinstating industry quality standards to reduce rework and abnormal downtime Identify root causes of equipment failures and repetitive repairs; agree corrective actions with the Site Engineer Ensure spare part availability Actively manage facto...
