Manufacturing Engineer - Automotive (Chilliwack)

Primary Responsibilities

• Identify & execute solutions related to process flow within the plant by applying manufacturing engineering principles to improve efficiencies (Pareto, time studies, design experiments, Problem solving tools, Labor Balancing).
• Responsible for performing new and current program feasibility study to determine optimal process and create machine specifications and source protected equipment(s) and safe solution working with cross‑functional team internal and/or external.
• Responsible for performing capacity, capability & feasibility studies to determine viability of new capital equipment purchases & assist with new product development.
• Take an active role in APQP, helping to develop process flow by applying Lean Manufacturing Principles, PFMEA’s, equipment and tooling specifications.
• Responsible for implementation of Corrective Actions & mistake proofing (poke yoke).
