Assure that the products are manufactured according to spec on designs established by corporate offices in U.S.A. by the correct interpretation of product drawings, norms, standards or established codes.
- Promote modern manufacturing systems that ensure a competitive advantage.
- Develop the team of technicians and certify operators on the different manufacturing areas.
- Maintain communication and information exchange with the different departments involved, local or worldwide, during process changes or when implementing new processes, products, or equipment.
- Lead the implementation of lean manufacturing, such as 5S, layout changes, POKA YOKE, and improvements to BOMs and routings.
- Develop and improve calibration routines for equipment and tooling on processes owned by the engineer, with support from the maintenance or quality engineer.
