Manager, Settlements and Structured Transactions

About the Role

Reporting to the Director, Settlement and Structured Transactions, the Manager, Settlement & Structured Transactions will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring back‑office settlement processes associated with short and long‑term contracts and energy market trading in the US and Canada are executed in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of analysts responsible for the settlement and the accounting of transactions in the Canadian and US electricity markets and contracts with external counterparties
• Set team objectives, track progress and measure performance
• Manage and organize the team’s workload and set priorities
• Support the team to fully understand electricity market charge code algorithms and the corporate structure in order to allocate revenue and charges to the right legal entity and trading strategy
