The Regional HSSE Manager must be an effective leader and support Operations with guidance and information to 1) identify, understand, and mitigate HSSE-related risks and 2) help develop a workforce that operates in a safe and environmentally responsible manor at all times. The HSSE Manager shall also educate, mentor, and develop direct reports.
Responsibilities
- Assist the regional division leaders in ensuring that the workplace is safe and that all employees return home from work each day, unharmed.
- Advises Operations and HSSE Personnel in developing workforce HSSE skills (e.g., pro-active reporting, risk identification, care in routine operations).
- Educates on applicable HSSE requirements (e.g., laws/regulations, customer requirements, and OII policies/initiatives).
- Verifies compliance with applicable HSSE requirements (e.g., HSSE Audits/Assessments/Inspections/ISO Certifications).
