Manager, Assurance (Asset Management) (Toronto)

Overview

BDO's Toronto office seeks a Manager to lead assurance and non‑assurance engagements for asset management clients such as private equity, venture capital, hedge funds and mutual funds.

Responsibilities

• Review assurance and non‑assurance engagements to ensure compliance with professional standards and Firm policies.
• Plan, supervise, and execute assurance and non‑assurance engagements.
• Prepare financial statements, perform due diligence procedures, support capital‑raising services, and deliver tax services related to assurance and non‑assurance clients.
• Develop a portfolio of new clients and ongoing business opportunities with existing clients.
• Address client issues timely, following BDO Policy and using strong technical accounting skills.
• Apply industry/business knowledge to anticipate, identify, and address issues relevant to the client’s business.
