Mail Service Courier - Class or 2 or 3 F

Job Responsibilities

• Load and unload postal vehicles while keeping mail and Canada Post property safe and secure.
• Collect, sort, and deliver mail.
• Operate portable communications devices.
• Perform vehicle safety checks.
• Complete documentation and maintain records.
• Communicate with customers and the public.
• Shuttle corporate delivery vehicles between parking locations and loading platforms.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 3/D driver’s licence (or higher) with the appropriate provincial air brake endorsements.
• Safe driving record for at least 3 years (recent driver’s abstract or a commercial driver’s abstract dated within the last 30 days).
• Physical ability to lift mail items weighing up to 22.7 kg (50 lb).
• Availability to work on short notice.
• Class 1 or Class 3 driver’s licence with an air brake (F) endorsement will be considered.
