The Machinist Technician is primarily responsible for evaluating and diagnosing causes for electric motors and gearboxes and repairs. Millwright experience is an asset.
The Role
- Complete dismantle and inspection of electric motors, electric generators and other mechanical equipment. As well complete a comprehensive inspection and test report with accurate measurements related to these components.
- Build, repair, service, and troubleshoot various motors and generators.
- Tests rebuild components or systems to acceptable results.
- Always maintain cleanliness of shop and work area to ensure the maintenance of a safe work environment, performing various cleaning and maintenance duties as required.
- Participate in monthly safety meetings.
- Follow quality assurance and safety programs.
- Additional responsibilities, as requested.
