Job Description and Responsibilities
- Lay out work, set up and operate machine tools, and perform any dismantling, fitting, or assembly work required for plant maintenance or construction.
- Produce machine parts to meet precision tolerances and specified finishes.
- Receive instructions, print, and work orders.
- Interpret drawings and sketches, plans, and determine working procedures.
- Perform and lay out work and make sketches of parts as required.
- Calculate dimensions, tapers, indices, and other data using shop formulas and handbooks as needed.
