Location: Owen Sound, Ontario
Shifts: Afternoon Shift (Monday to Thursday 4:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.)

About the Position

The Machine Operator is responsible for operating basic metal‑working machinery to perform machining operations on ferrous and nonferrous metals and plastic parts, weldments, or assemblies to engineering specifications in compliance with all MEMCO policies and procedures.

• Read and interpret drawings or follow verbal instructions with minimal supervision.
• Set up and operate one or more metalworking machines such as band saw, burn table, brake press, and CNC equipment.
• Check products for correct shapes, dimensions, and other specifications.
• Operate material handling devices such as overhead crane, gantry crane, and forklift in compliance with applicable safety standards and best practices.
• Document engineering change requests per procedures under supervision.
