What’s The Role Shell Canada is seeking a Lubricants Technical Advisor – Mining (also known as Senior Technical Advisor – Mining internally). This role is exclusively dedicated to supporting the oil sands business and is based in Fort McMurray; candidates located elsewhere in Alberta may also be considered.

The Lubricants Technical Advisor – Mining provides expert guidance on lubricant applications, performance optimization, and equipment reliability. The role offers on‑site support to maintenance and reliability teams, focusing on troubleshooting, inspection services, identifying cost‑reduction opportunities, and enhancing asset performance through value‑improvement initiatives. It is a remote role with frequent business travel (50–60%) to Fort McMurray, AB, for field‑based technical activities while engaging with Shell’s Platinum oil sands customer.
