About the Role
- Own the end‑to‑end shipment process, ensuring every movement is tracked, documented, and delivered on time.
- Shipment Management: Coordinate and follow up on all logistics movements, maintaining direct contact with carriers, agents, and warehouses to resolve any issues along the way.
- Quoting & Vendor Selection: Source and compare transport options evaluating price, transit times, and operational reliability, presenting clear, justified recommendations.
- Financial Tracking: Monitor invoices, due dates, and payment status for each shipment, proactively following up to prevent delays or vendor blockages.
- Documentation & Tools: Keep all operational databases, tracking tools, and internal documentation consistently up to date and accessible to the team.
- Risk & Escalation: Identify and flag risks early, including customs complications, cost overruns, or critical delays, escalating complex movements when needed.
