Job Summary
The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for facilitating our export shipment function at every stage of the process. This will involve arranging LCL, FCL and air shipments as well as managing transactions and tasks to reduce total transportation costs and meet government requirements. This position may require occasional evening and weekend hours.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Manage export transactions for projects
- Receive, review, process international shipments and ensure all documentation is accurate and complete
- Manage the freight quote process
- Work with freight forwarders to provide timely, accurate and competitive quotes
- Organize and file customs commercial documentation
- Consolidate freight where applicable and negotiate best transportation rates
- Communicate shipment status to Project Management, including shortages and schedule changes
