Loader Operator

Overview

REgroup, a division of The Municipal Group of Companies, is a Waste Management company that services the Halifax Regional Municipality and is currently seeking the qualifications and expertise of a Loader Operator based out of our waste management facility in Halifax.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Foreman, operate heavy equipment to lift and move bulk materials at the worksite; inspect, clean, and maintain the equipment.
• Transport material and loads trucks in an efficient manner.
• Ensure that quality of work meets OH&S requirements.
• Perform daily safety and maintenance checks.
• Maintain vehicle in good condition.
• Advise the Foreman of any requirements for maintenance or repairs.
• Be aware of surroundings at all times.
• Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task.
