Assists in determining safety requirements and formulates plans and methods to improve the safety of employees in field operations to reduce costs, worker injuries, accidents, and property losses.
Informs the appropriate management of the status of safety activities and actions taken to resolve identified hazardous operating conditions in field operations.
Determines areas of recurring accidents and recommends actions to prevent unsafe operating procedures and conditions by ensuring corrective action are accomplished.
Assists in the collection, review, and analysis of accident reports which are consolidated into statistical data for the purpose of identifying and isolating significant facts and trends.
Assures compliance with applicable safety and health agency regulations.
