- Organize stations: Set up their work station with equipment and supplies
- Manage time: Know how long each step of their station takes to ensure meals are served on time
- Communicate: Collaborate with other kitchen staff and the expediter
- Adhere to standards: Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
