Life Support Training Educator

The Opportunity

The Life Support Training Educator is a key member of the Learning & Development Team, providing education and support related to life-saving skills for individuals, teams, programs and the organization across all sites affiliated with IWK Health. The Life Support Training Educator is responsible for planning, delivering and evaluating life-saving skills training across the health centre. This includes Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and other resuscitation or emergency response training programs, in alignment with national guidelines and health centre protocols. They ensure that clinical and non-clinical staff maintain current certification, understand emergency procedures, and can respond effectively to life-threatening situations.
