Responsibilities
The Life Support Training Educator plans, delivers, and evaluates life‑saving skills training for staff across all IWK Health sites. This includes Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and other resuscitation or emergency response programs in line with national guidelines and centre protocols. The educator ensures that clinical and non‑clinical personnel maintain current certification, understand emergency procedures, and can respond effectively to life‑threatening situations.
