The licensed structural technician is responsible for repairing and maintaining aircraft structures.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, assess, repair, modify and weld metal and/or composite aircraft parts in accordance with airworthiness standards, the company's applicable maintenance control manuals and Transport Canada regulations.
- Order required parts and follow up on them with the Technical Purchases team.
- Work closely with aircraft maintenance technicians to keep all aircraft systems operational.
- Prepare all maintenance documentation required by the Canadian Aviation Regulations (CAR), the Maintenance Control Manual (MCM) and the company's Maintenance Policy Manual (MPM) for all parts and structures handled.
- Recommend for certification or certify by signing a maintenance form the completion of work and that the work on the aircraft structure has been carried out in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.
