Licensed Practical Nurse (Footcare)

FTE: 1.0 FTE Temporary position (1-year)

Location: Chestermere clinic with travel to other clinic sites

Position Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will work primarily on foot care but will practice as part of a multidisciplinary health team that includes community partners to deliver holistic patient centred care, with consideration of all social determinants of health. The LPN provides comprehensive team-based care to patients across the lifespan, in the patients’ medical home and at Calgary Rural PCN central clinic locations. The LPN may support a variety of programs and services, exercising a high degree of critical thinking in an autonomous but collaborative and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide non-invasive foot care and educate patients on how to maintain healthy feet.
• Autoclave and sterilize instruments when required.
