What You’ll Be Doing
Clark Wilson LLP is seeking a Securities Legal Assistant to join our Capital Markets, Securities, Mergers and Acquisitions practice group. This is a full‑time, permanent position ideal for anyone wanting to join a firm that fosters growth and professional development.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- SEDAR filings for reporting companies
- Coordinating filings with the Toronto Stock Exchange, the TSX Venture Exchange, and the CSE
- Assisting lawyers in preparing documentation related to exempt distribution reports, continuous disclosure (including news releases, material change reports and certifications), directors’ resolutions, private placements, billing, receipt and release of funds
- Preparing reports of due diligence audits
- Liaising with legal assistants, paralegals, other lawyers and clients on file progress
- Reviewing subscription agreements
