The Legal Assistant is responsible for supporting the legal department in the review, coordination, administration, and processing of invoices submitted by external legal counsel and other legal service providers. Key areas of work will include:

Responsibilities

  • Managing the legal invoice system, including onboarding law firms, creating matter IDs, and preparing reports.
  • Receive, log, and track invoices from external counsel and legal service providers. Review invoices for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with agreed billing terms, and identify discrepancies, non‑compliant charges, duplicate billing, or missing supporting information.
  • Route invoices to the appropriate legal and business stakeholders for review and approval.
  • Submit approved invoices to finance/accounts payable in line with internal procedures and monitor invoice status and follow up on outstanding approvals, rejected invoices, and payment queries.
