What you'll do
Position Overview
In this role, the Lead Mechanical Engineer will provide sustaining support for current products that include product improvements and cost down activities. Also conceptualize, manage the design, development, testing, technical documentation, and launch of new products and extensions/updates to existing product lines.
In this function you will:
- Evaluate change impact to products, offering decisions on updates and work scope
- Create and document product design updates driven by customer needs, manufacturing opportunities and or Eaton's supply base
- Be a key part of the team during the deployment of design updates to sustaining products and new products during launch
- Lead and participate in requirements evaluation, design reviews and related product development processes.
