- Preparing takeoffs from customer-supplied drawings and blueprints, including specification of products and scope of work.
- Estimating labor hours and direct materials (BOM) and maintaining updated overhead rates to accurately price fabricated metal products such as stairs, guardrails and light structural steel.
- Leveraging existing data and the recently adopted MRP/ERP system, Global Shop Solutions, to continuously improve bidding accuracy and timing.
- Supporting value engineering efforts to lower costs and improve product appearance and function.
- Estimate material and labor costs of potential projects.
