Overview

Launching Gantry Operator is responsible for operating specialized launching gantry cranes used in bridge and viaduct construction. These machines place heavy precast segments from above, especially in areas with difficult terrain or limited ground access. The operator ensures safe lifting, precise placement, equipment inspection, coordination with ground crews, and adherence to strict safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Operation of Launching Gantry Equipment
• Operate the launching gantry to lift, move, and accurately position precast bridge segments along girders and piers.
• Manipulate controls to regulate speed, direction, and hoist movement according to written, verbal, or signal instructions.
