Overview

Lansdowne Primary Academy is part of the GLC Gateway Learning Community, a partnership of five academies in Thurrock. The academy is dedicated to creating a supportive, inclusive environment for pupils with social communication needs and autism. The role is a permanent full‑time position supporting pupils’ emotional, social and learning development.

Responsibilities

• Work flexibly with the class teacher to deliver personalised teaching plans for pupils with additional needs.
• Support pupils’ literacy, numeracy and behaviour in the classroom.
• Carry out and record observations to inform and evaluate each pupil’s progress.
• Apply a positive behaviour management ethos and total communication approach.
• Utilise ICT resources to enhance learning outcomes.
