Lane Control Technician (LCT)

Responsibilities

As a Lane Closure Technician (LCT), you support the safety of roadworkers, crews, and the public by setting up, maintaining, and removing traffic control measures across various work zones.

• Lead traffic control persons and provide direction and guidance for setting up and tearing down signs, work zone delineations, and ensuring safe traffic control.
• Set up traffic control zones.
• Give clear and precise traffic control directions and signals to motorists.
• Monitor the traffic and work zone and modify when scope of work changes.

Safety and Compliance

• Conduct traffic control within the scope of training to protect workers, the public, and employees.
• Comply with all Acts, Regulations, Guidelines, Policies, and Procedures for health and safety.
• Participate in accident/incident investigations and complete necessary forms and reports for due diligence and compliance. ...
