Landscape - Horticulture & Maintenance Assistant (Vancouver)

We are looking for a reliable Horticulture & Maintenance Assistant, with the desire to eventually lead their own team(s). Experience in maintenance and soft scape installation is an asset; willingness to learn is essential.

Job Duties

• Maintain the health and presentation of gardens, including pruning of ornamental trees, shrubs and hedges, weeding, bed work, fertilizing, mulching, and soil amendments.
• Perform lawn care (mowing, weeding, line trimming) and pest and disease control.
• Move and transport materials using shovels, wheelbarrows, carts, dollies and manual lifting.
• Report on property performance to the Horticulture & Maintenance Manager.
• Clean and maintain hard surfaces, hardscape and paved areas.
• Conduct minor repairs for irrigation and lighting.
• Assist with plant installation and garden renovations when required.
