Ladle Technician

Responsibilities

Perform ladle refractory inspection, maintenance, relining and repair activities to ensure safe and efficient steelmaking operations.

Monitor the condition of ladle linings, nozzles, slide gates and other refractory components, recommending timely repairs or replacements.

Supervise and execute refractory installation, gunning, patching, drying and preheating activities in accordance with operational standards.

Analyze refractory performance, lining life and failure patterns to improve ladle availability and reduce refractory consumption.

Ensure compliance with safety, quality and housekeeping standards while coordinating with SMS and CCM teams for uninterrupted production.

Qualifications

• 12th/Diploma/ITI in Mechanical, Metallurgical, Refractory Technology, or a related discipline.
• 5–8 years of experience in refractory maintenance within a steel manufacturing plant.
